A Puppy Named Roland

Just a quick note

Many of you were very kind to me and my family after the passing of Roland, and so I thought I might share a couple pictures with you of a puppy who has been named after him in tribute.

The larger of the two figures here is Titus Goddard, son of the novelist and political provocateur Tariq Goddard. The smaller is the aforementioned Roland. Tariq told me only two days before our Roland’s passing that a puppy would at some point be coming into their household and after hearing the sad news the next week asked permission to (so to speak) christen the little one Roland too.
