Dr. Hart. I don't know how to get this question asked. Perhaps this will not be seen, but I would like to know the areas of disagreement you have with Dr. Wood's book on St. Maximus, The Whole Mystery of Christ. I must say I have read a good number of your books and am a changed person because of them. Thank you. Fr. John

We disagree on how to apply the concept of hypostasis and on the correctness of talk of the analogia entis (or, rather, the proper way to talk about it correctly). It's interesting, though: there are certain parts of Maximus that I have always read one way and that he reads another, and there's no clear way of proving which reading is right.

Merry Christmas, David. I have been reading Kenogaia by the pool in Mexico. It reminds me of reading the Narnia books when I was a kid - an engaging fairy tale with beautiful underlying theology.

Confidentially, the book was written specifically for reading by a swimming pool in Mexico. That's really the whole point, as far as I'm concerned at least.
