I didn't know Tom personally but did read his work and hear him lecture. And now realise that the shock of hearing of his death is a reflection of the fulness of life that he conveyed, and so clearly participated in. Thank you for what you say.

He seemed to overflow with life.

The loss of a friend being as incomprehensibly painful as it is, I can only say that my heart goes out to you. I hope you find peace in your grief.
